December Goals

I make goals for my main account, CagedBirdSings, and I thought that I should also make something for this account.

It helps keep me motivated and setting goals give me something to try and achieve.

So!

I come home from Ireland December 16th. This means I can create more things and continue to get my name on the listings and front page again.

GOALS:

Hearts - I'd like to get 50 more hearts by the end of the month. Which will be hard seeing as I have 50 hearts now and have been open for quite a few months.

Sales - I'd love to get 7 sales. Bringing my total to 15. :). I have 6 items in my store right now so I'd basically need to clear my store :). +1 hehe.

Inventory - I'd like to double my inventory at LEAST. 6 more items by the end of the month.

Thats all folks! Hopefully I go through with it :)

I wanted to post this out of my utter thrill that so many people on Etsy and community were willing to donate so much to my project. The picture above does no justice I just wanted to give a big thumbs up and a smile.

The Stats:

• Neckwarmers: 1

Oh I'm so happy!!! 30 total things! :D. I shall be giving everything out tomorrow the 14th. I'll be taking additional photos of the people in their new items. BigBlueEyes gave me an awesome idea about how to present them (the cute packaged looking scarves with the white ribbon :) ) So thats how I'll be giving them out! :) Thank you so much Etsy community! You've really made this a reality.

Note: total is without the scarves I've been making for the charity! wow! :)

Goal for August

Hello everyone!

I've been blessed over and over again with the kindness coming from Etsy so I've decided that with every gift that gets sent to me... I will match that scarf donation. My way of saying thanks.

for the month of August (even though there is only a small week or so left of it) I'd like to make 2 scarves/items every day. 1 item will be listed on my Etsy store, and the other will be sent to the homeless shelters. That way I keep the $$ amounts flowing so that there is no yarn shortage! yey! but I also get to give out my own creations :).

I'll update this as I make more things :). Tomorrow, Friday, doesn't count seeing as I made 4 things today ! ^^ yey!

Hello and welcome to Knit For Neighbors.

Started by Erin McDonald, I am a small charity based in Colorado/Denver area. I will be dedicating my time, money and skills to be able to donate scarves for the homeless.

W H Y ||| D O ||| T H I S???
I was inspired to take on the challenge and really connect with my community. I've always done mission work, like building a house in Mexico and everything like that... but I have found that this will bring me closer to the place where I've resided in for a few years now.

H O W ||| C A N ||| I ||| H E L P?!
I'm currently taking donations of either yarn or scarves. Since our name is "knit for neighbors" that leaves it open for people who like to make special hats etc and don't want to make scarves. But I would, however, like to keep my main focus to scarves or neck warmers.

D E A D L I N E S?
I leave for Ireland Sept. 15th until January. So I'm placing the deadline for scarves on Sept. 12th so that I may relax ans enjoy my last days before going abroad with my family. It also gives you plenty of time :).

If you send a scarf while I'm away ( I will accept as many as I can get!!! ) I will be resuming my donation giveaways in January :).
